The main reasons for the unqualified packaging of dangerous goods by air transportation are as follows: first, the net weight of the packed goods by air transportation exceeds the limit specified in the regulations on dangerous goods by air transportation; second, the actual used packaging is ordinary packaging (no dangerous package mark and batch number); third, the actual packaging container's dangerous package mark and batch number are inconsistent with the performance sheet; fourth, the validity period of the performance inspection result sheet of the packaging container is expired.
When exporting dangerous goods, both individuals and enterprises must pay attention to their packaging. Not all dangerous goods can be transported by air. Some dangerous goods are forbidden to be transported by air, while some can only be transported by cargo aircraft, not by passenger aircraft. In addition to the limit of net weight of single package, there is also a limit of maximum net weight for the inner container of air combined package. When combined packaging is adopted for air transportation, the inner containers shall be filled with gaskets to avoid collision, and the closed mouth of the inner container shall not be inverted. The packaging container containing liquid shall pass the air tightness test and can withstand the internal pressure of more than 95 kPa.
