According to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, in 2022, China's logistics industry, under multiple pressures from the impact of COVID-19, insufficient demand and rising costs, achieved stable operation on the whole and steady growth in major economic indicators.
According to reports, the total amount of social logistics in 2022 is expected to exceed 340 trillion yuan, a year-on-year growth of about 3.6%; Total revenue of the logistics industry is expected to reach 12 trillion yuan, up about 5 percent year on year.
Railway, cold chain, express delivery and other professional logistics maintained a high growth rate. In 2022, the national railway delivered 3.9 billion tons of goods, up 4.7% year on year and the highest growth rate in nearly three years. The cold-chain logistics market is expected to exceed 490 billion yuan this year, with a year-on-year growth of about 7.2%. In 2022, large and medium-sized enterprises bucked the trend and steadily expanded their market share. By the end of the year, there were more than 8,600 A-class logistics enterprises in China. The revenue of China's top 50 logistics enterprises totaled nearly 2 trillion yuan, and the threshold for entry was 2 billion yuan higher than last year. Among them, the revenue scale of many enterprises exceeds 100 billion yuan.
Smart logistics has demonstrated its vitality. Logistics parks, distribution centers, logistics warehouses and Shipping To Europe DDU have intensified their efforts in intelligent transformation, and smart logistics parks and smart storage facilities have been upgraded. By the end of the third quarter of 2022, the total number of online freight platforms has reached 2,382.
